Bethlehem Tomboys Eighth Annual Athletic/Scholarship Awards
Congratulations to Meaghan McGurn and Elizabeth Stupp for being selected as winners of the 2007 Tomboys scholarship awards!

Meaghan writes, I'd like to thank you and the board for making Tomboys possible. I have learned a great deal about softball from the many excellent coaches I had at Line Drive. I made many great friends playing in recreational and travel leagues. I also feel that playing Tomboys softball helped me mature and build confidence in myself.
Thus, Bethlehem Tomboys softball has played a key role in my life. Thank you very much. Someday I would like to come back and coach so I might help young women in the same way you have helped me
.”

Elizabeth writes "I am writing to thank the Tomboys Board for awarding me a Tomboys scholarship. I used the money to buy books for this semester and felt very lucky to have it."

Any young woman in her senior year of high school who has played Bethlehem Tomboys Softball for at least five years is eligible.   These awards are presented in honor of John Coulon who devoted so much of his time and effort to help the Bethlehem Softball League.

THE BETHLEHEM TOMBOYS SOFTBALL LEAGUE exists to provide young people in our community with the opportunity to engage in a healthy, supervised activity; to aid in the development of athletic skills; to promote a spirit of cooperation and team play; and to help all participants achieve feelings of success and satisfaction.
Through the fun and challenge of softball competition, each player shall be encouraged to show respect for self and for others — an attitude which underlies success in all endeavors, at all stages of life.
